What happens after a painting is finished? Post it on social media, keep our fingers crossed and hope against hope that someone will come along, take a fancy and hopefully buy it in the end ? Hahaha...no lah, not that simple. Selling art pieces is not easy. Artworks are high ticket items. Marketing is key. It is about profiling the artist, about showcasing the works. "RESTING" A PAIR
Some of my friends have remarked that I paint VERY FAST??? Specifically, referring to the rate I am churning out new works. Aiyo, is that how it looks? Alamak!!! Let me be upfront about my work hours. Every piece averaged at least 20 hours . Sometimes more, depending on size and complexity. Varnished and ready for framing
Finally, the Ashy Tailorbird is ready for varnish. It is now drying in my living room and waiting for the framer to come. Then, in a week’s time, the painting all nicely framed, will be in a new home.
