Super excited with our very first collaboration! Our client asked if we could create a cake for their Peranakan-themed lunch and yes they already had the Gula-Melaka pandan cake so they wanted something new. We immediately thought of Singapore artist, Glacy Soh’s Peranakan series. In consultation with the artist herself, we chose this painting of the kebaya fabric for the cake.
Peranakan sweets incorporate a lot of the blue-pea flower and so we created a marbled blue-pea flower coconut sponge cake, laced with mango, blue pea flower petals and lime zest! Our very first Peranakan inspired cake!"
