Our National Flower is the Vanda Ms Joaquim
When I painted the orchid series 2 years ago, it was mainly to continue my series with a new floral theme for the coasters and placemats. I never thought that this piece would become one that would travel so far out into countries overseas and bestowed the honour of being presented as something iconically Singapore. What thrills me, puts me on seventh heaven, have me floating on cloud nine and I am so very humbled is that the prints are ordered by Singapore companies overseas and given as corporate gifts to clients. This one is leaving for Shanghai tomorrow. I am overjoyed. How simply AMAZING !!!
